Anna Boynton Thompson was born in 1848 in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Harriot Boynton (Sawyer) and William A. Thompson. She attended Radcliffe College between 1884 and 1902, receiving her A.B. in 1898 and her A.M. in 1899. Anna Boynton Thompson was a teacher of Greek and history at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts, until her retirement in 1920. Morris Carter obtained his AB from Harvard in 1898 and his AM in 1899; he taught at Robert College in Constantinople, 1899-1902; and in 1903-1904 was an assistant at the Princeton University Library. From 1904 to 1910 he worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, first as librarian and later as assistant director. Nathan Marsh Pusey (1907-2001) was the twenty-fourth president of Harvard University from 1953 to 1971. He was also president of Lawrence College (1944-1953), president of The Andrew W.
